Loki is the best (and most ridiculous) Marvel character and no one can convince me otherwise. He's died three times—more than any other character in the MCU, he's literally a god and yet still struggles with self-esteem issues and fear of rejection (he's just like us, for real), and he's a shapeshifter. There is no alligator Spider-Man, or alligator Thor. The fact that alligator Loki exists should be proof enough that Loki is the best of the MCU. Of course, the inspiration for Loki's character didn't come out of nowhere. In norse mythology, Loki was represented as a cunning trickster who had the ability to change his shape and was an outcast among the other gods, often showing up to parties uninvited and drinking all the booze. Okay, maybe Loki isn't necessarily the best character in the MCU, but define 'best'. He's certainly the most fun.
